Shelly Plus 1PM is a relay that can be used to remotely control a specific electrical appliance (e.g. washing machine or heat pump), to control it via a timer and to detect electricity consumption.

The specific model has been modified to be controlled by NordPool electricity exchange data via a dedicated application, thus adapting the operation of the appliance to the most favourable exchange prices. Two types of such control are possible:

• Price cap control, where a price cap is set during daylight and dark hours;
• Dynamic control of the appliance, which allows a certain number of "favourable" hours of the day and night to be set and, using stock exchange data, will only supply power to the appliance during those hours when stock exchange prices are lowest.
