Solar panels

Solar panels are used to convert the light emitted by the sun into electricity using photovoltaic or PV cells. To convert the energy into usable electricity, a power converter, or inverter, is used to convert the energy into usable alternating current. Two types of inverters are available on the market: off-grid or hybrid inverters, which can transfer excess energy to an installed battery system in parallel with the power supply to the electrical equipment, or grid-connected or on-grid inverters, which transfer excess energy to the common grid. 

Solar panels can be mounted on the roof or on the ground, choosing a location where they are most efficiently illuminated (preferably in a shaded area, facing south). The solar panels themselves can be found in this category, as well as the necessary accessories for their installation (for both on-grid and off-grid systems) and additional options for using the excess solar energy to heat hot water with them.
