Solar collectors are a relatively simple but effective way to get free hot water - the only investment required is in the purchase and installation of the system itself! Solar collectors work by using the sun's energy to heat a medium and then transferring it from the sun to a hot water tank, where it is transferred to the water via a heat exchanger. In this way, hot water is produced quickly and with low electricity consumption (only the pump and control unit consume electricity).
In the off-season, the heat produced by the solar collector can also be used to support heating, saving heating costs.
