My-PV SOL•THOR - direct conversion of solar electricity into heat!
My-PV SOL•THOR is a linearly regulated (power from 0 to 3.6 kW) DC solar control unit used to directly convert the electricity generated by solar panels into heat. The product will be available for sale in Q1 2025.
Unlike ELWA solar heating panels, the number of solar panels connected to My-PV SOL•THOR can be easily modified or expanded, the system can be equipped with 1 to 10 solar panels.
The energy carried by the SOL•THOR solar control unit can be used by connecting an existing or new (preferably My-PV) electric heating element to it, or by connecting an existing electric boiler to it. In both cases, if the equipment meets the parameters, existing heating elements or electric boilers can also be used, allowing additional savings in the purchase of system components.
In case the amount of solar energy produced is insufficient (e.g. on a cloudy day), this can be compensated by a connection from the common grid. In such a system, the energy is not transferred to the grid, but is taken from the grid only to heat the heating element. Of course, it can operate in stand-alone mode, without being connected to the grid; in either case, no involvement of the energy supplier is required.
