PV hybrid hot water tank, 30L

Categories: PV2Heat equipment

The PV hybrid boiler is designed to make it possible to produce hot water under any conditions - even when solar electricity is not available or at night.

Its main heat source is a built-in 550W heating element, to which it is possible to connect solar panels with a total capacity of up to 2000Wp (or five 400W solar panels). It works on a plug and play basis - no additional inverter or controller is needed, everything needed is built into the unit, including the MPP controller for the most efficient use of solar energy. The connection is made to the MC4 connections integrated in the heater.

In moments when solar energy is insufficient or hot water is produced at night, this can be done with an integrated 1500W electric heating element (230V).

How does hot water production with an electric heating element work? To set up automatic hot water heating with an electric heating element, all you need to do is set a minimum temperature (e.g. +35°C) in the control unit. When the hot water temperature drops below the set temperature, the electric heating element will be automatically connected and will heat the water up to the set temperature.

The boiler's capacity of 30L makes it suitable for a small building or summer house with low hot water consumption.

The boiler can also be purchased complete with all the necessary elements to start it up:

  • 1x hot water boiler;
  • 4x solar panels, total capacity ~1600W;
  • 1x Vertical mounting pitched roof fixing kit (to be specified upon order);
  • 1x Cable and connection kit (up to 10 metres).
