Wood gas-fired boilers are designed to burn wood using the principle of gas generation and the use of a draft blower to draw the products of combustion from the boiler or a suction blower to draw air into the boiler.

Atmos boiler shells are made of welded construction quality plate steel 6 mm thick. Atmos boilers consist of two chambers mounted on top of each other, the upper one serving as a reservoir for the fuel and the lower one equipped with a heat-resistant short pipe opening where the products of combustion and gases are discharged.

The upper part of the duct for combustion products shall be fitted with a short pipe for connection to the flue.

Atmos wood-fired boilers shall consist of two chambers placed one above the other. The upper chamber is for the fuel, the lower chamber is for the combustion and contains the ash compartment. Between the two compartments is a nozzle for complete gasification and combustion of the wood.
