Hot water heating with My-PV PV2Heat heating elements!
My-PV PV2Heat heaters are a simple way to make good use of the solar energy generated for hot water preparation, as well as for heating support by heating a storage tank or even powering electric heat sources.
The following My-PV units are currently available in our product range:
- My-PV ELWA - the simplest product of the My-PV range, ELWA operates in a similar way to other PV heaters available from us, with a direct draw from the solar panel system. The main difference: the high operating power of the heater (2 kW). This makes it possible to use it not only as a support device but also as the main source of hot water. In case the solar output is insufficient, it can also be fed from the mains, depending on the set connection temperature. We offer variants with the heating element itself, as well as a complete solar kit for it, with the necessary fixings, cables, and solar panels to meet its power consumption.
- My-PV AC ELWA 2 - a premium heating element with integrated control is suitable for connection to a ready-made solar panel system and supports most of the popular solar panel inverter manufacturers. It has a high operating power of 3.5 kW, which is linearly controllable, and can be used to control an additional 3 kW heating element. The AC ELWA 2 can be combined with a My-PV Wifi Meter data reader for even more precise control, allowing only the excess solar energy produced to power the inverter, while increasing the efficiency of the solar panel system and reducing the amount of electricity transferred to the overall grid. We offer the unit itself, as well as three different optional extensions, depending on your preferences and needs: with My-PV WiFi meter only, with My-PV WiFi meter and solar panel top-up system, and a full solar panel system with 6 kW Huawei hybrid inverter supporting My-PV heating elements.
- My-PV AC•THOR is not a heating element - it is a linearly controlled transmission device that transfers the solar energy generated to the consumers connected to it. Two AC•THOR models are available: the 3 kW AC•THOR, which is designed to operate a simple My-PV heating element, with or without an integrated thermostat depending on the tank to be heated, and the 9 kW AC•THOR 9s, which has much more connection options. Up to three electrical consumers can be connected (e.g. three 3 kW heating elements or a 3 kW heating element and two electrically heated heating circuits) or a high-power 9 kW three-phase heating element. This option will be most suitable for large volume tanks, in particular to support heating storage tanks.
